According to a recent Quinnipiac poll, 52% of Democrats would flee the country if it were invaded like is currently happening in Ukraine. 68% of Republicans would stay and fight.
So we would need to fight off foreign invaders, but could get rid of over half the Democrats (plus some chickenshit RINOs)? Might be a worthwhile tradeoff.
